Department OverviewThe Avigilon Commercial Product Strategy Team manages pricing and packaging for the entire portfolio and serves as the primary strategic partner to executive leadership. The team guides product decisions, leads high-impact strategic projects, and provides the business intelligence necessary for data-driven decision-making. Beyond internal strategy, our team is responsible for identifying and evaluating alliances and M&A opportunities to drive the company's long-term growth
Job Description

We are seeking a high-impact Manager of Strategic Partnerships to drive the next phase of our ecosystem growth. This is a critical leadership role focused on identifying, negotiating, and executing strategic alliances that serve as a competitive differentiator in our most vital markets.

The successful candidate will act as the primary architect for our vertical-specific partnership strategies, ensuring our product development is guided by meaningful external collaborations that fill specific technology gaps. By establishing a steady cadence of strategic announcements and joint launches, you will build the market credibility required to open doors for both our global product and sales organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vertical Strategy Identification: Conduct gap analysis and strategically identify and execute partnership investments in specific verticals that are complementary to our core offerings in video security and access control. Focus on high-impact sectors including manufacturing, retail, and healthcare, with a specialized emphasis on integrating AI and advanced AI analytics to enhance our ecosystem.

  • End-to-End Partnership Leadership: Oversee the complete partnership lifecycle, from initial identification to deal closure, including strategic positioning, internal/external communications, and operational integration.

  • Commercial Authority: Serve as the key commercial lead and expert in deal mechanics, managing executive-level access to ensure new partnerships move forward and are integrated into the product lifecycle.

  • Market Credibility & Communication: Drive public-facing communications, including joint press releases and strategic announcements, to establish a position of leadership and innovation within the industry.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Interface directly between external developers and internal product teams to ensure partnerships align with the product roadmap and fill critical capability gaps.

  • M&A Pipeline & Strategic Corporate Development: Lead the identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets that align with our long-term vertical strategy and ecosystem growth.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a product-embedded business development role, specifically focused on technology partnerships rather than traditional sales or corporate development.

  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing global technology partnerships that resulted in measurable pipeline growth and market expansion.

  • Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel as needed to engage with and finalize agreements with key partners. (25% or less)

Target Base Salary Range: $170,000 - 200,000 USD
