Job description


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing and reporting all inventory flows/movements and inventory balances. Distributions include various daily, weekly and monthly reports:
  • Operating and understanding the Sigmafine operating software for yield accounting including offsite terminal information, tracking transfers, receipts, barging activities in and out of the refinery and distributes morning inventory reports.
  • Calculates and maintains all yield and inventory files. Prepares and distributes various weekly reports, including product inventory report, yield and average crude charge rates, crude unit yield and inventory balance report, daily process yields for the week and pipeline transfers.
  • Prepares, reviews and distributes the end of month inventory balance report and yield report.
  • Provides end-of-the-month reports to accounting and assists with reconciliation and close.
  • Generates Product Inventory Report.
  • Maintaining the Sigmafine model and making necessary unit configuration changes to match projects/refinery operation.
  • Responsible for coordinating upgrading Sigmafine software and associated system components.
  • Maintaining tank status in the IM system to correspond with J. Aron schedule E.
  • Serves as system administrator for BOSS/TIS/OMM.
  • Provides operational support for BOSS/TIS/OMM as needed
  • Responsible for BOSS/TIS/OMM configuration and system updates.
  • Provides model data to process engineering and assist as necessary.
  • Able to calculate unit yields and work with Process Engineering to improve mass unit mass balance.
  • Support HSRC reporting as necessary
  • Prepares unit yield reports for monthly planning meeting
  • Tracks actual product yield vs plan yield and provide reports
  • Prepares weekly and monthly inter-company reports.
  • Generates daily and monthly inventory reports for outside parties.
  • Reconciles all asphalt and light oils terminal inventories.
  • Prepares and files monthly and annual EIA reports.
  • Prepares monthly UOP Royalty Reports and yearly for submission.
  • Organizes and oversees yearly gauging audit observation.
  • Tracks diesel and gasoline pipeline injections, transfers and purchases on offsite terminals.
  • Monitors engineering functions concerned with refinery accounting such as process flow calculation and utility accounting within the refinery.
  • Train to become capable of providing vacation relief for Operations Planning Engineer position.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering with one to three years of related refinery experience preferred. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel including VBA and Macros as well as SharePoint required. A working knowledge and experience in various analytical techniques involving both operating and accounting data and mathematical background is helpful.
PREFFERED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of SQL and python or other coding language.
  • Knowledge of BOSS/TIS/OMM systems.
  • Familiarity with Oil Movement operations.
  • Experience with production accounting software.
