Job description

Description
Help Build the Future of Aggregate Logistics
JWG Trucking exists to become Florida's premier aggregate logistics company by building exceptional relationships, strategic intelligence, operational excellence, and innovative technology that serves both our customers and carrier partners. We believe the future of construction logistics belongs to companies that combine world-class relationships, strategic intelligence, operational excellence, and innovative technology-not just trucks.
We're building the systems that will make that vision a reality, and we're looking for someone excited to help build them with us. This is not a traditional analyst position. You won't simply create reports-you'll help build the intelligence engine that powers the future growth of JWG Trucking.
Working directly with ownership, you'll identify opportunities before competitors, organize critical market intelligence, improve strategic decision-making, and help build systems that create long-term competitive advantages. If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving difficult problems, love organizing information, and want to help build something meaningful from the ground up, we'd love to meet you.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with ownership, help build a department from the ground up, leverage AI and emerging technology, and create systems that will shape the future growth of JWG Trucking. We're looking for a builder-someone excited to create something exceptional, not simply fill a position.
What We Offer
  • Performance bonus opportunities
  • Leadership growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to help build the future of aggregate logistics in Florida
  • High-impact work with real responsibility from day one

Responsibilities
• Research upcoming construction projects, infrastructure work, private developments, municipalities, quarries, asphalt plants, and aggregate opportunities throughout Florida.
• Build and maintain contractor, superintendent, estimator, carrier, municipality, and project databases.
• Identify growth opportunities before competitors through proactive market research.
• Organize research into executive reports that support sales, operations, and leadership decision-making.
• Utilize AI, CRM systems, spreadsheets, mapping software, and research tools to improve business intelligence.
• Continuously improve our strategic intelligence systems and recommend better ways to organize and leverage information.
• Work directly with ownership on strategic growth initiatives, expansion planning, and special projects.
Qualifications
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Naturally curious and enjoys solving complex problems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing AI, spreadsheets, database systems, and technology.
• High integrity, humility, and a strong work ethic.
• Experience in construction, logistics, transportation, engineering, business intelligence, project management, or market research is preferred but not required.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, business environment where initiative, curiosity, and continuous improvement are valued.
