Solugenix is looking for a Principal, Strategic Partnerships - Capital Markets. This is a full-time opportunity in Irvine, CA (Hybrid).

We are seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy leader to serve as the Principal of Strategic Partnerships for our Capital Markets vertical. In this role, you will partner directly with leadership to expand our footprint, ensure seamless delivery, and drive net-new business. You will bridge the gap between complex financial services needs and advanced technical solutions, ensuring our clients achieve their strategic objectives through robust business applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. An educational background in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or an MBA is highly preferred.
  • Industry Expertise: 7 10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 3 4 years in client-facing account management, tech consulting, or business development specifically within Capital Markets or the broader financial services sector.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts. Must possess a strong foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern engineering practices.
  • Next-Gen Familiarity: Deep understanding of modern enterprise business applications and a strategic focus on getting engineers ready for next-gen roles in an AI-driven landscape.
  • Sales Track Record: Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, managing complex sales cycles, and expanding key partnerships.
  • Communication: Exceptional executive-level presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnerships & Client Success

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic point of contact for key Capital Markets clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and relationship health.
  • Partner closely with global delivery teams to oversee the successful execution of engagements, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Lead regular business reviews with stakeholders to identify areas for optimization, unearth new challenges, and map out collaborative growth strategies.

Sales & Business Development

  • Collaborate with leadership to execute the go-to-market strategy for the Capital Markets portfolio.
  • Identify, qualify, and close cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing partnerships.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle for targeted net-new clients, from initial prospecting and discovery to proposal development and contract negotiation.
  • Develop compelling, solutions-oriented proposals tailored to the regulatory and operational realities of financial institutions.

Technical & Solution Strategy

  • Translate complex Capital Markets challenges into actionable technical solutions that drive business value, with a strict focus on business applications rather than foundational infrastructure.
  • Engage credibly with client technical leadership (CIOs, CTOs, Engineering Managers) regarding modern enterprise architecture.
  • Champion the adoption of next-generation technologies and lead the charge in getting our engineers and client teams transitioned to next-gen roles in an AI-driven landscape.
Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $130,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
