Description:

Position Summary

While working as a Signage Fabricator you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to the manufacturing of custom signage orders for our clients. The functions include machining, welding, fabricating by performing duties such as using basic hand and power tools, interpreting shop drawings and prepping/cutting/assembling materials as well as cleaning work areas and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting shop drawings provided by Project Management and Engineering team members in order to fabricate project components
  • Using hand tools, power tools, brakes and welding equipment to produce custom signage projects
  • Performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Maintaining a safe, hazard-free working environment
  • Marking and prepping project components for painting and finishing technicians as needed
  • Lift, move and assist in the loading of projects as needed

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in MIG aluminum welding, preferably in the Signage field.
  • Welding certification in MIG welding preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Vision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
  • Mathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple figures, and other basic mathematical skills
  • Can read and interpret blueprints
  • Has experience using power tools, brakes, shears, and hand tools

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, one is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, reaching with hands and arms is regularly required to walk, stoop, and bend over and regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, as well as other employees. Additionally, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud, and usually consists of light machinery, nearby printers, and other employees conversing.
