Twin Disc is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead and execute global procurement strategies that support our manufacturing operations. This role is critical to strengthening our supply chain, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring high-quality supplier performance across key commodities.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, global sourcing expertise, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, and machining.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of buyers and commodity managers to align with global supply chain objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, procurement, and supplier management
Sourcing & Procurement Strategy
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for critical manufacturing commodities
  • Analyze global markets and identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain optimization
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure supply continuity
Supplier Management
  • Identify, qualify, and manage a global supplier base, with emphasis on India and China
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions when needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering teams to standardize components and optimize total cost of ownership
  • Work closely with operations, quality, and logistics teams to support production goals
Global Support
  • Provide guidance and support to sourcing teams in India and other international locations
  • Travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites and Twin Disc facilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in direct material sourcing or procurement within a global manufacturing environment
  • Proven success managing global sourcing projects and supplier relationships
  • Experience working with suppliers in India and/or China
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially metal casting, forging, and machining
  • CPM, APICS certification, or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
