Job Purpose:
- The Behavioral Tech III at LifeStream Behavioral Center is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges. This role involves implementing therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient progress, and contributing to a safe and supportive environment for clients. The position requires a high level of expertise in behavioral health practices and a commitment to improving the well-being of individuals served by the center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to clients with mental health and behavioral issues, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and interventions designed to promote positive behavioral changes.
- Observe and document client behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans based on client needs and progress.
- Educate clients and their families on coping strategies, treatment options, and available resources.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.
- Support the mission and values of LifeStream Behavioral Center through active participation in organizational initiatives and community outreach programs.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Proven track record of working with diverse populations in a mental health or social services environment.
- Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Proficient in documentation and record-keeping with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Driving Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 21 required
- Minimum if 5-years driving experience required
- Possess a Valid FL Driver's License
- Possess a continuously valid US Driver's License for the past three years, from date of issue required
- Safe driving record required
