Job description

Position Purpose & Summary
Seeking a passionate maintenance professional who wants to do the job right the first time. Facilities Maintenance Technician is a Full-Time Regular position. Applicant must be available between 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, five times a week.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide service and repairs to resort equipment, including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, kitchen equipment, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned.
  • Leads junior team members in the accomplishment of daily tasks.
  • Leads junior team members in the accomplishment of special projects.
  • Operates with little to no direct supervision.
  • Accountable for the accomplishment of all assigned duties.
  • This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in a caring and respectful manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
  • Troubleshoot equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
  • Perform assignments as directed by the Engineering Manager and VP of Engineering.
  • Troubleshooting and repairs on laundry, kitchen, and HVAC equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance in guestrooms, public areas and on all assigned equipment.
  • Repairs all malfunctioning mechanical devices.
  • Responds to room repairs regarding carpentry, electrical, plumbing, carpeting, painting, and furniture repair.
  • Maintains pools and spas.
  • Maintains key control systems and participates in re-keying of facility as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning of mechanical spaces, engineering shops and other general areas.
  • Responds to guest room calls.
  • Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Position Requirements:
  1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum 5 years previous experience in related field - REQUIRED
Certifications (CPO, EPA, etc.) - DESIRED
Advanced technical knowledge of building maintenance - REQUIRED
Working knowledge of CMMS - REQUIRED
Ability to operate computer and related equipment (pads, tablets, PCs, etc.) - REQUIRED.
A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be fluent in English
