Job description

The Aftercare Teacher, under the supervision of the Head of School, is expected to establish and maintain a quality educational program by fulfilling the following responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the safety and physical well-being of all students at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to relate joyfully to children.
  • Exhibit emotional maturity and stability.
  • Report any and all accidents immediately and prepare an incident report stating the date, time, and nature of the accident and the action taken.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of classroom and all shared spaces at school, including collecting and stowing playground toys at the end of the day.
  • Follow all School policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • Follow all standards in accordance with the American Montessori Society and the Department of Children and Families.
  • Any additional duties as determined by the Head of School.
