Job description

Our client is a premier utility company specializing in rapid response and storm chasing to utility companies and contractors in need of a quick reaction force to repair power outages when they need it most. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we provide reliable and efficient solutions to help our clients restore power quickly and effectively during emergencies and adverse weather conditions while ensuring operational efficiency and financial sustainability. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Storm Ops Administrative Manager to lead our rapid mobilization and power restoration projects for utility companies facing emergencies and power outages. The Manager will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and driving the administrative process of the projects to restore power swiftly and efficiently, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Systems Architecture & Implementation: Build and maintain digital and physical inventory systems for specialized materials (power lines, utilizes). Manage and support Work Order Systems for mechanic shop, and mobile inspections.
  • Strategic Procurement & Fleet Management: Lead end-to-end technical specifications for truck builds, directly negotiate with dealerships and vendors for PPE, tooling, and specialized vehicles to ensure 100% fleet uptime and availability.
  • Standardization & operational governance: Author, implement, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all core functions. Ensure fleet uniformity through visual standardization and tool auditing.
  • Emergency Response & Field Logistics: Serve as critical leader during storm/emergency events. This includes physically managing multiple yards, overseeing dispatch, and ensuring safety compliance in high-pressure and speedy environments.
  • Asset & Facility Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of testing equipment from cost-analysis, installation, and ongoing maintenance. Ensure all facilities and remote yards are reset and storm-ready after all events.
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Track KPI's and analyze operational data to identify process improvements. Actively drive cost savings initiatives through vendor negations and contract auditing.
  • Rental Equipment Management: Partnering with local contactors and businesses on renting Agostino Equipment - managing relationships, marketing, and internal fleet availability.tive measures to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in project management or administrative management roles, preferably in the electric utility or emergency response sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including rapid mobilization and power restoration efforts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is advantageous.

$80,000 - $105,000 a year
