Job description

  • Lead strategic planning, business development, and service line growth across multi-site/multi-state operations.
  • Drive growth, hurricane response practices, campaigns and initiatives focused on weather patterns, and quality outcomes improvement.
  • Develop new client throughput strategies, capacity planning, and regulatory compliance programs within the disaster response and insurance compliance programs.
  • Foster superior client experiences and staff engagement initiatives to grow and develop the sales team.
  • Manage budgets, quarterly planning, and labour optimisation across high-volume national accounts.
    Build external referral networks and maintain competitive positioning in a dynamic insurance and disaster response environment.
  • Promote and champion the emergency response business line, including short- and long-term disaster recovery services.
  • Maintain relationships with Community Managers and Boards of Directors.
  • Set up and present Lunch and Learn programs for individual branches.
  • Attend Board meetings, including evening meetings as required.
    Attend networking events such as CAI, SFCA, golf tournaments, trade shows, and industry functions.
  • Collaborate with various offices and departments to gather necessary information on communities.
  • Work with the sales team to update and maintain the LHR Intranet page, promoting the ERP program.
  • Assist with other sales-related activities as needed to support the sales team.
  • Conduct outbound calling to secure face-to-face meetings with clients.
  • Clearly articulate and demonstrate the benefits of Emergency Response Plans for Communities.
  • Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service through ongoing client follow-up throughout the year.
  • Seek out new customers and strengthen partnerships with existing clients on a daily basis.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers to secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual prospecting activities on a daily basis.
  • Lead by example and foster creative thinking, collaboration, and professional growth across the sales team.

  • Minimum 7 years of proven sales and business development experience in disaster recovery, emergency response, restoration, catastrophe response, reconstruction, roofing, or insurance restoration services.
  • Leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing sales teams.
  • Flexibility and time management is essential in this position.
  • Travel throughout the entire USA is required - the frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties and weather patterns/storm seasons. Candidates should be prepared to travel approximately 20% during non-storm periods and up to 90% during hurricane and catastrophe response seasons.
  • An understanding of weather patterns across the USA and their impact on disaster response; we utilize HailTrace Software.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar web-based client relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of HOAs, Community Associations, and Boards of Directors.
  • Knowledge of the disaster recovery industry, including preparedness, response, recovery, and reconstruction, is strongly preferred.
