Job description

The Storekeeper Assistant will under general supervision of the Storekeeper, perform skilled work in the receiving, storing, and delivery of supplies and equipment. Assists in maintaining the district Warehouse and performs other duties as may be required.
Two years of recent experience inventory control. High school diploma or equivalent; Valid California Driver's License.
Must have knowledge of District policies and procedures as they apply, methods used in inventory control, record keeping, and requisitioning. Methods used in receiving, storing, issuing, and inventorying supplies and equipment. Computer software programs dealing with inventory control.
Ability to operate District vans, truck, pallet jacks, and forklifts; communicate to all schools and staff in a professional manner; maintain records of inventory; maintain and verify accuracy and completeness of work requests; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others; meet schedules and deadlines; operate and understand computers; plan and organize work; provide work direction to others as assigned; work at various configurations; perform heavy physical labor; pass the minimum proficiency test administered by the District; Ability to create spreadsheets for the year-end audit reports; be able to deliver District mail in a timely manner and work with District custodians and help organize the materials needed for seasonal cleaning.
