Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 USD

Job Summary

We are seeking a rare hybrid professional - part senior product strategist, part hands-on enterprise developer - to lead the design, rapid prototyping, and delivery of enterprise applications forย our retail clients. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, product thinking, and customer-facing delivery.

You will own the full product lifecycle for our suite of enterprise applications, including storefront management platforms, store profiling tools, and customer portals. You will work directly with clients to understand their operational workflows, then move rapidly from concept to working software - leveraging AI-assisted development to compress timelines and elevate output quality.

What you'll do

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Vomela's suite of enterprise retail applications
  • Conduct discovery sessions with enterprise clients to translate complex operational needs into clear product requirements
  • Prioritize features and manage the backlog in close collaboration with clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria
  • Own the end-to-end customer experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement on all portal platforms

Application Design & Technology

  • Architect and build enterprise-grade applications including storefront profiling tools, asset management portals, and workflow automation systems
  • Rapidly prototype solutions using modern frameworks and AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude API, etc.) to validate ideas and accelerate delivery
  • Design scalable, secure backend services and APIs that integrate with client ERP, PIM, and workflow systems
  • Build and maintain customer-facing portals that provide real-time visibility into program status, asset libraries, and approval workflows
  • Lead technical architecture decisions and ensure solutions are enterprise-ready - performant, secure, and maintainable at scale

AI Integration & Innovation

  • Embed AI capabilities into product experiences - including intelligent image analysis, automated store profiling, and predictive program recommendations
  • Build and maintain internal AI tooling that accelerates the team's development velocity
  • Stay at the leading edge of generative AI, agentic workflows, and LLM-based product design - bringing new capabilities into Vomela's platform
  • Prototype and evaluate emerging AI technologies for viability in Vomela's retail context

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Serve as a trusted technical and product advisor to enterprise clients throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Lead client demos, technical walkthroughs, and product reviews with stakeholders up to the VP and C-suite level
  • Define and manage project timelines, milestones, and delivery commitments across concurrent engagements
  • Collaborate with Vomela's operations, design, and installation teams to ensure digital solutions connect seamlessly to physical program execution

Requirements

You are a senior-level professional who has mastered both sides of the product-engineering divide. You can lead a strategic discovery session with a Fortune 500 client in the morning and commit production-ready code in the afternoon. You are energized by complexity, move fast without sacrificing quality, and have a builder's instinct - you would rather prototype an answer than debate it endlessly.

What you'll bring:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of combined experience in product management and software development, with meaningful time spent in hands-on development roles
  • Proven track record designing and delivering enterprise applications - customer portals, SaaS platforms, internal tooling - for large organizations
  • Experience working directly with enterprise clients in a client-facing product or technical lead capacity
  • Background in retail, supply chain, manufacturing, or adjacent industries strongly preferred
  • Experience building applications that integrate with enterprise systems (ERP, PIM, DAM, CRM)

Activities:

  • Own the roadmap for your product area by balancing customer, business and market needs and both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Understand complex problems, break them down into manageable pieces and work cross-functionally to propose simple solutions.
  • Know our customer better than anyone else, advocate for them and facilitate a human-centered approach to problem solving and product delivery.
  • Define success then fail fast and iterate quickly.
  • Lead product design and engineering team members to create innovative solutions that are viable, desirable and feasible with daily incremental progress.
  • Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to encourage alignment and transparency particularly around problem clarity, plans, priorities, progress, goals and challenges.
  • Provide a sense of direction, organization and accountability to your development team along with the ability to communicate on a technical level with engineers and designers.
  • Develop the business case for new products, improvements to existing products, and business ventures
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Prepare operations, marketing, sales and support for launch.
  • Be energized by a nascent and evolving team and organization - There is an appetite for change and opportunity for direct impact and growth.
  • Become a subject matter expert in both the product and industry.

Technical Skills:

  • AI/ML integration: OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude API, LangChain or similar
  • CI/CD pipelines, DevOps fundamentals, Bitbucket, Kubernetes/AKS, GitFlow
  • Relational and document databases (SQL Server, MongoDB,)
  • Authentication, authorization, and enterprise security patterns (SSO, OAuth, RBAC)
  • REST and GraphQL API design and development
  • Rapid prototyping with AI-assisted dev tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
  • Cloud platforms -MS Azure, Fabric, Kubernetes
  • C#, .Net, Javascript, Event Streaming (Kafka), Microservices architecture
  • UX/UI design sensibility; ability to work in Figma or similar tools

Product & Leadership:

  • Strong command of product management frameworks - roadmapping, OKRs, Agile/Scrum, user story mapping
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership and limited hand-holding

  • Experience building or leading small product/engineering teams
  • Exposure to computer vision, image recognition, or geospatial data in a retail context
