Position: Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Location: Glendale, WI
Type: Exempt
Summary: The Warehouse Manager has primary responsibility for overseeing all warehouse operations, people leadership, safety, inventory control, and facility performance. This role leads strategic planning, execution of company initiatives, financial oversight, and compliance while developing a high-performing warehouse team. The Warehouse Manager is the primary decision-maker and is accountable for operational outcomes, associate performance, and protection of company assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
  • Personally assist in developing a culture that understands, demonstrates and is passionate about the vision, mission and values of the organization.
  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction the primary goal by supervising, organizing and training warehouse associates along with establishing, monitoring and managing operational goals.
  • Identify, recruit, and hire qualified warehouse associates that exemplify the company's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Maintain primary accountability for warehouse performance, staffing decisions, associate development, compliance, and financial results.
  • Create appropriate associate schedules based on business needs, payroll compliance, and budgets.
  • Ensure professional timely communication with carriers while promptly executing deliveries and pickups in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that corrective realignment discussions are addressed in a timely manner to eliminate or correct procedures and practices which do not meet company standards. Take appropriate ownership to resolve customer issues including onsite visits where necessary.
  • Exercise sustainable solutions to reduce or eliminate movement/late delivery of shipments, invoices and freight bills.
  • Ensure operations, equipment and company assets comply with corporate guidelines federal safety & OSHA Standards.
  • Ensure incidents, injuries, and safety concerns are properly documented, investigated, and reported according to company policy.
  • Adapt appropriate management style as needed to handle each unique individual and situation to achieve desired performance results.
  • Ensure appropriate leadership coverage for all operating hours, including oversight of opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with Store Operations, Corporate Office, and peers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations, the Corporate Office, and Store Operations Leaders to prioritize and establish clear performance goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Ability to protect, manage and maintain all company assets, including security and compliance related activities and expectations.

Employment Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in logistics, business, or supply chain management preferred or high school diploma/equivalent with minimum of five (5) years related warehouse management experience.
  • Exceptional ability to interact professionally with many levels in and out of the organization in order to become a trusted resource within the organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to identify, develop and motivate team building, set goals, and manage performance
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, including decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies, along with the ability to analyze, plan and execute process improvement.
  • Competency using inventory management software and other organizations computer applications, along with the ability to cross train others in system utilization.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that supports seasonal demands based on business needs.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements, compliance and fleet safety.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements (i.e. Class A or B) preferred.
  • Must be forklift and articulating lift certified within 3 months of employment, with the ability to lead company required trainings.
  • Ability to evaluate warehouse operations from both a strategic and accuracy-driven perspective, advising on long-term planning, inventory controls, and operational improvement initiatives.
