The University of New Mexico College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Director of Operations to provide strategic operational leadership for the largest college on the University's central campus.
The College of Arts and Sciences is home to 44 departments and programs, 440 faculty, 370 staff, more than 7,000 students, and ~$180M in annual revenues. The College advances UNM's research and teaching mission across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, with deep roots in New Mexico and a strong national research profile.
With the support of cross-departmental work groups, the College is in the midst of a substantive operational redesign. The College is modernizing processes, clarifying staff roles, and building the infrastructure to deliver effective service to units, faculty, staff, and students. The Director of Operations will play a central role in carrying this work forward - moving from planning to implementation, building durable systems, and developing staff leadership.
Reporting directly to Dean, the Director of Operations will oversee selected administrative functions of the Dean's Office, including core office operations and will partner closely with leaders of academic operations, finance, and research administration. The role is designed for an experienced operations leader who wants meaningful authority, real impact, and a stable platform for long-term success at a flagship public research university.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
