Are you a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you believe that retail can be a powerful force for good?
Many Hands is seeking a dedicated, high-energy Store Manager to oversee our retail operations in Indianola, cultivate a positive store culture, and drive success. If you are an experienced leader with a heart for service and a sharp eye for retail strategy, we want to hear from you.
As our Store Manager, you are the heartbeat of your location. You won't just be managing inventory - you will be leading a team of staff and volunteers to create a welcoming, profitable environment that aligns with our mission. You will report directly to our Director of Thrift and act as a key representative of our ministry
What you'll do

  • Drive Results: Analyze sales data, optimize store layouts for maximum efficiency, and implement proactive strategies to hit financial targets.
  • Champion Service: Set the gold standard for customer experience, building a loyal customer base through genuine engagement and excellent service.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily activities, maintain store cleanliness, manage bank deposits, and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
  • Embody Our Mission: Represent Many Hands with integrity, ensuring our core values are visible in every interaction - whether with customers, vendors or volunteers.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 4 years of relevant work experience in fast-paced retail management. This must include at least 18 months of full-time, paid employment, with at least 12 months specifically in a supervisory role.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to motivate diverse teams, manage conflict, and lead with empathy and respect.
  • Communication: Excellent English proficiency (oral and written) and the ability to train others effectively.
  • Retail Savvy: A solid understanding of retail best practices, inventory flow, and merchandising.
  • Integrity: A genuine appreciation for diversity and a commitment to treating every individual with respect, regardless of status or background.
  • Logistics: A valid driver's license with a good driving record and insurability.

Physical Requirements:
  • This is an active role! You should be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs consistently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Why Many Hands?
At Many Hands, we are more than just a store - we are a ministry committed to making a tangible impact. By joining our team, you are helping to sustain our mission while growing your career in a supportive, mission-driven environment
