Job description

? Store Manager
Bob's of Windham
"Help Save the Butchers!"
At Bob's, we're not just another grocery store.
We're the place where people come for hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked grinder rolls, and a team that actually enjoys being here.
We're looking for a Store Manager who can lead from the front, keep things running tight, and still laugh with the team when things get a little crazy (because they will).
? What You'll Be Doing
Running the day-to-day operations of the store like it's your own
Leading, coaching, and developing our crew (we don't call them "employees" around here)
Keeping standards high across all departments - especially meat, deli, and produce
Jumping in wherever needed - register, stocking, helping a customer, breaking down a load... no job is "not your job"
Making sure customers leave happier than when they walked in
Owning the numbers - sales, shrink, labor, margins - and actually using them to improve the business
Keeping the store clean, full, organized, and ready to sell at all times
Handling problems quickly and fairly - customers, team issues, whatever comes your way
? What Makes You a Fit
You lead from the floor, not the office
You're comfortable holding people accountable - but you do it the right way
You don't panic when it's busy... you thrive in it
You know how to balance getting results with taking care of your team
You're organized, but not rigid - grocery throws curveballs every day
You actually enjoy working with people (customers and team)
You take pride in doing things the right way - even when no one is watching
? Experience We're Looking For
Grocery, retail, or food service management experience (bonus if you've worked in a high-volume environment)
Strong understanding of store operations (labor, inventory, merchandising, food safety)
Experience leading a team and improving performance
Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently
? The Bob's Difference
This isn't a place where you just "manage a store."
This is where:
The butcher shop matters
The grinder counter gets slammed
The customers know your name
And the team feels like a team
We move fast, we work hard, and we have a lot of fun doing it.
? What Success Looks Like
A store that's full, clean, and selling
A team that's engaged and improving
Customers who keep coming back (and telling their friends)
Strong numbers - because great operations show up on the bottom line
? Bottom Line
If you want a quiet desk job, this isn't it.
If you want to lead a team, build something great, and be part of a store people actually love coming to - we'd love to talk.
