You set the tone, guide the culture, and ensure that every team member embodies our values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork. You lead with purpose and accountability, ensuring the store runs smoothly. You deliver strong financial results and provide impeccable hospitality to our guests every day. In this role, you communicate the "why" behind decisions, adapt your leadership style to the needs of your team, and model the inclusive, collaborative behaviors expected of a leader. You develop future leaders, encouraging feedback and learning. You build a store environment where guests feel welcome, team members feel valued, and business goals are achieved. You are the face of the store and a trusted partner in the community.
What You'll Do:
  • Build a strong talent pipeline by recruiting, developing, and retaining leaders and team members.
  • Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable through regular coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Develop and execute store-wide strategies that increase sales, expand market share, and strengthen guest loyalty.
  • Use data-including P&L performance, KPIs, labor forecasts, and guest feedback-to identify opportunities and build action plans.
  • Ensure effective labor planning, cost control, and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
  • Model high standards for food safety, sanitation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead store readiness for audits and inspections, ensuring strong follow-up and accountability.
  • Serve as the face of the store, ensuring every guest receives warm hospitality and personal attention.
  • Coach leaders and team members on guest recovery and proactive service that builds loyalty.
  • Engage with local organizations, events, and community partners to deepen the store's connection to the community.

Availability:
This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Qualifications:
At a minimum, what you'll need:
  • 6+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or general business.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing multiple departments or store-wide operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven success in achieving sales, margin, and labor goals.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in grocery or high-volume specialty retail environments.
  • Track record of developing high-performing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical and Work Conditions
  • Repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Ability to use tools and equipment: knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Required to spend long periods of time on their feet and stand or walk without a break (for up to 4 hours or as required by law)
  • Required to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment
