Introduction

Overview

The primary purpose of the Specialist II Format and Planning is to contribute to the success of all ADUSA Brands by supporting the Store Development process of creating layouts; reinforcing brand character through implementation of prototypical layouts, and innovative design solutions. Responsible for timely delivery of projects to internal and external partners while maintaining high quality fixture plans in support of organizational drafting and CAD standards. Foster key relationships with Brand Strategy, Merchandising, Operations and Real Estate to facilitate timely project execution and delivery of completed projects per established schedules.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. This position will be based in Salisbury, NC.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Develop design solutions in support of Brand initiatives and parameters utilizing AutoCAD, Bluebeam & Microsoft programs to meet project deadlines/milestones and maintain project cadence through the coordination of internal and external resources.
  • Provide design support for new and remodel project equipment and fixture updates and/or modifications aligning with Purchasing equipment standards, CAD Standards and Format and Planning.
  • Resolve and propose cost-effective solutions for design, construction clarification and change requests, maintaining adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with construction PM to quickly resolve existing conditions that impact design elements and layout. Issue clarifications or revisions so as not to impact construction schedule and minimize scope creep.
  • Uphold design and drafting standards by means of a detailed review and documentation process with both internal and external planning team business partners.
  • Manage corporate fixture plan approvals for Merchant and Operations teams.
  • Gather and present changing needs of corporate partners to Manager of Format and Planning for review and integration into approved concepts and/or prototypes.
  • Coordinate with CAD Manager and external business partners to track progression of work, including facilitating development of growth plans, reporting to CAD Standards and Format & Planning Managers
  • Verification that fixture plan sets are complete, accurate and ready for submission at key project phases in line with organizational review and construction process'.
  • Visit job sites, as needed, to ensure concept standards are being met and partner with Construction Project Managers to refine details.
  • Attend Maintenance walk-thrus, Pre-Development walk-thrus, and Pre-CRC meetings to fully understand all aspects of the scope development and decision making processes be responsible for all revisions related to their particular project
  • Maintain current fixture/equipment plans, and related plan support documents, archive completed drawings, redlines, shop drawings and related documents in adherence with organizational standards.
  • Key project development contact for all aspects of the fixture planning process for Construction and Merchandising.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Superior AutoCAD technical skills and proficiency
  • Ability to read & interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of Architecture and Engineering practices and standards
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven ability to drive significant change, achieve goals, and deliver results.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with acute attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • General knowledge of fixtures, equipment, and operational standards.
  • Highly effective communication skills including being adept at active listening, critical thinking, and ability to ask questions.
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
