Business Development Manager

REV Copack

Pittston, PA

Full-time

Job description

About REV Copack

REV Copack is a beverage co-packing and fulfillment partner built for speed. From our 124,000-square-foot facility in Pittston, PA, we handle secondary packaging, variety-pack assembly, kitting, and fulfillment for some of the fastest-growing brands in the beverage aisle, running up to 500,000 cases a month. Brands come to us to launch in club stores, scale wholesale, and move fast on Amazon.

We're a startup, and we move like one. Things change fast, priorities shift, and the people who thrive here are the ones who take ownership, figure it out without a playbook, and would rather build the process than wait for one. If you do your best work in fast-moving environments and want a real hand in shaping what we become, we'd like to meet you.

Job Summary

We're hiring a remote Business Development Manager to drive net-new revenue as REV Copack scales. This is a full-cycle sales role: you'll help source pipeline, run discovery, partner with production on pricing, negotiate contracts, close new brand clients, and shepherd them through onboarding to their first successful production run.

You'll own a book of business and report directly to the VP of Sales, with real influence over the playbook, the tools, and the process. If you're a gritty, self-motivated hunter who wants to build, this is for you.

This is a remote position requiring frequent visits to REV Copacks Pittston, PA facility and approximately 2030% regional travel for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.

What You'll Do

  1. Hunt & Build Pipeline: Identify and pursue new beverage-brand and co-packer opportunities, prospect across email, phone, and in person, and keep your pipeline full.
  2. Own the Deal to Close: Work every opportunity through the full cycle: discovery, feasibility and quoting with our production team, negotiation, and close.
  3. Onboard & Launch New Accounts: Walk new brands through our onboarding process, gather what we need to run their product, and make their first production a five star experience.
  4. Grow & Protect your Book: Stay your accounts' point of contact after the sale. Keep communication tight and proactive, act as the liaison between the customer and our plant floor, and look for room to expand accounts.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle, from first touch to closed-won to a live first production run
  • Build pipeline through disciplined outbound: cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn, and signal-based prospecting (brands raising capital, expanding into retail, or launching new products)
  • Run discovery to understand each brand's volume, packaging, timeline, and decision process
  • Partner with the production team to scope feasibility and build accurate, margin-healthy quotes
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to close protecting profitability, not just top-line volume
  • Onboard new clients and coordinate a smooth handoff to production for a successful first run
  • Grow existing accounts by expanding SKUs and volume over time
  • Continuously sharpen your outbound scripts, sequences, and systems, and keep a clean pipeline and forecast in the CRM
  • Present your pipeline and forecast in a weekly sales review with the VP of Sales
  • Represent REV at industry events (e.g., BevNET Live, Expo West) and on-site client visits (~20% regional travel)

What You Bring

  • 37+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally full-cycle (you've carried a quota and closed your own deals)
  • Background selling into or within CPG, food & beverage, packaging, ingredients, or contract manufacturing, beverage, co-packing, or co-manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • A track record of building pipeline from scratch and hitting or exceeding targets
  • Comfortable owning a quota and closing five- and six-figure annual production programs
  • Comfort with consultative, technical, and margin-sensitive pricing conversations
  • Fluency with CRM and modern outbound tools (e.g., Apollo, Clay, Instantly, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Existing relationships with beverage brands, founders, or procurement/ops teams a strong plus
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel ~20% regionally, limited national travel
  • Bonus: familiarity with beverage production economics and jargon
  • No specific degree required, we hire for track record, hustle, and results, not credentials

Who Thrives Here

Our best people are gritty, hardworking, and self-motivated. They're comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity, energized by owning a number, and resilient through cold outreach and long sales cycles. They have a builder's mentality, they'd rather create the playbook than run someone else's, and they're as coachable as they are competitive.

Benefits

Compensation & What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus strong commission structure that rewards profitable, margin-healthy deals, not just volume
  • A ground-floor role with a clear path to Senior BDM and Strategic BDM as we scale the team
  • Direct access to leadership and genuine influence on how we build the commercial engine
  • Travel and business expenses covered
