Overview:
 We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Convenience Store Assistant Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service and the ability to manage various store operations effectively. Your role will involve training new hires, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new hires on store operations and customer service standards.
  • Manage register operations, including paperwork and deposits.
  • Activate and log lottery tickets.
  • Conduct cigarette and beer audits.
  • Oversee fuel ordering and manage procedures for fuel spills, nozzle, and hose replacements.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding orders and inventory.
  • Handle incident reporting
  • Create work orders for maintenance requests.
  • Manage grocery wholesalers ordering processes.
  • Conduct store audits for both the convenience store and diner.
  • Implement waste procedures and manage C Store credits.
  • Create and manage schedules for the convenience store and diner.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Prepare end-of-month fuel reporting and analyze sales and fuel volume trends to inform business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to multitask and perform physical tasks such as repeated bending, reaching, prolonged standing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic language and mathematical skills are required.
  • Competency in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Maintain a valid State and Parish Certifications and/or Licenses at all times.
  • Obtain the following:
    • Alcohol Beverage Ordinance Card (by Parish)
    • Louisiana Responsible Vendors Permit
    • Valid State Identification card or driver’s license
    • Copy of Social Security Card
