Facility Cleaning Supervisor
The Facility Cleaning Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness of facilities while also managing and supporting a cleaning team. This role requires strong leadership skills, flexibility, and attention to detail to maintain high cleaning standards and a positive work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead a team of cleaning staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.

Cleaning Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the cleaning of various areas, including facilities, shops, office spaces, and bathrooms.
  • Ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

Flexible Work Schedule:
  • Be willing to work flexible hours and days, which may include nights and weekends, to monitor and coordinate cleaning crews effectively.

Staff Management:
  • Manage all aspects of staff discipline, including performance coaching and, when necessary, disciplinary procedures.
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment.

Operational Efficiency:
  • Identify opportunities to improve facilities cleaning operations for greater efficiency.
  • Make recommendations and implement changes that enhance overall effectiveness.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with various company departments to understand their needs and expectations for cleaning services.
  • Ensure that cleaning operations align with company objectives.

Stress Management:
  • Handle job-related stress effectively, especially when dealing with high-volume work, last-minute changes, staffing and performance issues, tight deadlines, incidents/accidents, and unpredictable events.
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented mindset.

Emergency Preparedness:
  • Stay informed about company demands, including being ready for on-the-spot assignments and emergencies.
  • Be prepared to respond promptly and effectively to unexpected situations.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or General Manager.
  • Be adaptable and willing to take on new tasks as the need arises.

Qualifications & Skills
Supervisory Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervising, leading, or coaching staff.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Effective Communication:
  • Strong ability to prioritize work objectives and communicate work directives to staff in a professional, timely, and effective manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Organizational Skills:
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks, schedules, and records efficiently.

Customer Service:
  • Possess a pleasant demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent customer service, both internally and externally.

Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Bilingual skills (e.g., proficiency in Spanish or another relevant language) are a plus.

Background Check and Screening:
  • Must pass a complete background check, including drug screening and physical examination, to ensure compliance with company standards.

Driving Skills (Preferred):
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, or identification, is required.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.

These minimum qualifications ensure that candidates for the Lead Facility Cleaner role have the necessary experience, skills, and attributes to effectively supervise and lead a cleaning team, communicate effectively, and meet the company's standards for safety and customer service.

Salary
  • $18.00 per hour
  • Paid biweekly

Proposed Hours + Travel
  • 40 hours per week; FT position.
  • Location: various MARTA train stations
