Brown & Brownis seeking aVP, Sr Benefits Consultantto join our growing team inPlano, TX!

Responsible for employee benefits account management responsibilities. This includes day to day client contact. Utilizes technical expertise to retain present clients. Administers marketing and renewal functions. Assist clients with daily service functions. Assists Team Lead in servicing the financial consulting needs of the employee benefit clients. Independently evaluates financial and utilization metrics for clients including but not limited to monthly financial reports, utilization metrics and benchmarks as well as assist with other adhoc reports and analysis.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Fully manage book of business,retentionand growth.

  • Development and execution of client benefit strategy.

  • Independently advises clients on all areas of compliance.

  • Proficient level of compliance, benchmarking, renewal & marketing, reporting & analytics, and able toperformthese functions with little guidance.

  • Strategic resource, financial strategyleadand client escalations.

  • Monitor/prepare and review monthly financial reports, send to clients with analysis of activity and largeclaimdetail.

  • Prepare expert level financial/underwriting exhibits as requested including but not limited to financialprojections, large claim analysis, specific stop loss analysis,demographicsanalysis, IBNR, etc.

  • Develop proficient level reporting requirements and any deviations or customizations in those reports.

  • Leads client meetings,presentationsand onboarding new clients.

  • Participatein market meetings,seminarsand training programs.

  • Provide guidance/training to Consultants/Account Managers and Analysts.

Licenses&Certifications:

  • Must obtain andmaintainactive Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License.

Skills & Experience tobe Successful:

  • Minimumof4-yeardegree or equivalent work experiencerequired.

  • 9+ years employee benefits experience with a thorough understanding and knowledge of employeebenefits.

  • 4+yearsfinancial experience.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

  • Microsoft Excel - Strong to expert level skillsrequired.

  • Ability tomaintaina high levelof confidentiality.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their ownvehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the timeof hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurancecoveragesarerequirementsofthis position.
