Job description

Job Summary:
Due to our success and increased business opportunities, we are looking for an SVP, Stop Loss Carrier Consulting to spearhead the growth and operational excellence of our Insurance Carrier Consulting business. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, building and nurturing key client relationships, and leading the development of innovative solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of key stakeholders across the Stop Loss Insurance Industry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep industry knowledge, leadership acumen, and a proven track record of success in scaling business operations.
• Lead efforts to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Stop Loss Carrier Consulting business to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic direction.
• Build and expand relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
• Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives within existing client accounts.
• Lead strategic consulting engagements and client stewardship to deliver maximum value to carrier client business and distribution strategy.
• Collaborate with product development and technology teams to design solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the insurance industry.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and market trends to ensure offerings remain competitive and compliant.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of professionals within the practice.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients within the insurance sector.
• Ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction through proactive communication and effective problem-solving.
• Monitor and assess completed projects to ensure that benefits are realized and contribute to ongoing performance optimization.
• Represent Lockton and the Carrier Consulting business at industry events, conferences and on advisory boards where appropriate.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions.
• Strong understanding of the insurance value chain, including underwriting, claims, distribution, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, managing large teams, and improving operational efficiencies.
• Strong experience in underwriting, claims management, risk assessment, and insurance product development.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance market trends, regulatory environment, and customer needs.
