BRANCH OPERATIONS TEAM MEMBER
JOB SUMMARY
The Branch Operations Team Member supports customers and branch operations through customer service, order processing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, rental support, and basic equipment service. This role is expected to work across branch functions, respond to changing priorities, maintain a safe and organized workplace, and deliver dependable service to customers and teammates. This is an on site position reporting to the Branch Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide professional customer service by phone, in person, and through written communication.
  • Process sales, rental, return, purchase, and inventory transactions accurately in Epicor and other company systems.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, stocking, delivery, and customer pickup activities.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, proper material handling, and timely reporting of discrepancies or missing items.
  • Prepare, inspect, clean, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rental equipment and customer owned products within the employee's training and assigned responsibilities.
  • Provide customers with basic equipment operation, safety information, manuals, and technical support as appropriate.
  • Maintain branch equipment, work areas, tools, and rental assets in a clean, safe, organized, and customer ready condition.
  • Communicate priorities, schedule conflicts, customer needs, and operational concerns to the Branch Operations Manager.
  • Support branch improvement efforts by identifying practical ways to improve safety, quality, speed, and efficiency.
  • Participate in the branch on call schedule and perform other duties assigned by the Branch Operations Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING
  • High school diploma or GED. Customer service, warehouse, mechanical, or maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to learn StoneAge products, applications, repair practices, rental processes, freight requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Epicor, technical manuals, jetting charts, and other company tools.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and material handling equipment safely. Forklift certification and required waterblast safety training must be completed through StoneAge.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, dependable attendance, sound judgment, teamwork, and the ability to adjust priorities in a fast moving branch environment.

OTHER INFORMATION
  • Extended working hours, travel, driving, deliveries, and customer site support may be required based on branch needs.
  • A valid driver license may be required. DOT qualification is helpful for positions assigned to operate regulated vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy loads using approved techniques and follow all requirements in the StoneAge Employee Handbook and Safety Handbook.
