Job description

Looking for someone who is positive, organized, hardworking, and a team player to join our crew here at Great Lakes Granite Works. Having experience in the stone industry and knowledge on how to move and lift stone is preferred. This job requires a lot of physical activity and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities:
  • Unload slabs from delivery trucks with overhead cranes.
  • Move slabs within the warehouse to keep production moving.
  • Move slabs for customer viewing.
  • Photograph and Log slabs into computer using Slab Smith software.
  • Categorize and organize slab remnants both inside and outside.
  • Forklift experience necessary for emptying small dumpsters, moving remnants outside, and unloading deliveries.
  • Breakdown saw/waterjet once a cutting program has finished.
  • Move cut pieces to where they need to go (i.e.: to fabrication department or remnant area).
  • Keep tools and products organized in the shop.
  • Keep production moving.
  • Maintain clean floor trenches.
  • Maintain recycled water system by changing out slug bags regularly.
