Job Summary:
ONU is seeking to hire 2-3 qualified individuals to assist with the part-time care and oversight of the ONU Metzger Nature Center (MNC) near Stone Creek, Ohio. These individuals will assist with the running of the Metzger Nature Center and support the student-centered courses that take place at this facility. The part-time work is typically 5-15 hours during weekends with reservations from August to December (Fall Semester) and February to May (Spring Semester). There are typically 5-8 weekend reservations during the fall semester and 3-6 weekend reservations during the spring semester. Individuals will be tasked with preparing dinner on Saturday evenings and breakfast on Sunday mornings for visiting groups that range in size from 8-20 people.
Location: Located near Sugarcreek, Ohio the ONU MNC is a residential, 78-acre field station with four primary buildings that supports teaching and learning of up to 20 faculty and students from Ohio Northern University throughout the months of August through May and occasionally throughout the summer.
Scope:
Ohio Northern University (ONU) is seeking part-time assistance with the preparation of food and maintenance of Bolon Hall for visiting groups at the ONU Henry and Geraldine Metzger Nature Center.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Purchase food, drinks, and supplies
  • Prepare and serve meals for students
  • Assist other ONU MNC employees and volunteers in the maintenance and cleaning of the Metzger Nature Center Bolon Hall.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to prepare meals for 8-20 individuals

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to provide personal transportation to the Metzger Nature Center
