Job description

Monterrey Tile, a leader in the tile and stone industry, is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive equipment reliability and operational excellence at our Chandler production facility. Serving as our technical subject matter expert, you will oversee machinery calibration, preventative maintenance (PM), and equipment operation, while directly leading our quality control initiatives on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production schedules and shop workflow
  • Serve as a technical lead for the fabrication of complex porcelain, stone, mosaics, bullnose edges, and custom pieces
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust fabrication machinery
  • Perform machine calibration, alignment, and precision measurements
  • Serve as the shops Subject Matter Expert for all technical inquiries.
  • Ensure quality standards and accurate fabrication to ensure on-time delivery
  • Track preventive maintenance, tooling, and shop inventory
  • Maintain OSHA and workplace safety standards
  • Other duties as needed

Equipment & Technical Skills

  • Working with CNC waterjets and Multihead
  • Cutting and edge-finishing machines
  • Tile saws and polishing equipment
  • Bearings, motors, belts, shafts, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Precision measuring tools such as calipers and dial indicators

Qualifications

  • Engineering or manufacturing background preferred
  • Strong hands-on fabrication and mechanical experience
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial production equipment
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and specifications
  • Experience service as a senior technical resource
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
