Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

Stockroom Clerk

Under close supervision, performs routine manual and clerical duties related to the receiving, shipping, storing, issuing and movement of materials, supplies, and equipment.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsibilities include any of the following activities related to the receiving, storage, and/or shipping of raw materials or finished goods: ensure materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, picking and issuing of materials to relevant Value Streams, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.

• Picking and correctly processing items in accordance with established procedures and requirements while sustaining a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested.

• Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list). Enter data into SAP system accurately.

• Safely handle and transport chemicals in accordance with specified MSDS requirements.

• Constantly maintain a high level of safety awareness.

• Maintain assigned areas to 5S standards.

• Perform other assigned duties as may be required.

 RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports to Shipping/Receiving Manager

• Interact with staff at all levels

• Internal Relationships exist with Purchasing, Production Management, Receiving Inspection, Engineering, Quality, Contracts Administration, Production Planning, Master Scheduling and Management Staff

• External Relationships exist with customers, transportation/shipping vendors (ie. UPS, DHL, etc.)

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

• Completes routine paperwork and documentation as required.

• Filling orders and/or routing materials as directed.

• On time receiving with correct paperwork

• Responsiveness to Production and Customer needs

• Others activities as assigned by lead

 BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Able to use computers and software. MS Office and SAP experience a plus

• Strong written and verbal English language skills.

• Good basic math skills.

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently throughout the day, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
