Job description

Stinger Bridge & Iron, an AISC certified structural steel fabricator and PCI certified precast concrete girder fabricator and erection contractor. Stinger focuses primarily on the Southwestern Bridge and Highway market, specializing in bridge projects. Stinger fabricates in its Coolidge, Arizona facility located south of the Phoenix/Chandler/Gilbert area and erects work in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. POSITION SCOPE:

The Haul Water Truck Driver is a safety sensitive position responsible for safe and efficient operation of production mining equipment. They will be operating a haul truck to move water and aggregate materials to support site development operations. Position requires extensive travel and living at or near job sites.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Safety, Safety, Safety. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards of safety
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
  • Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical is required
  • MSHA part 46 and/or part 48 or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of 100 degrees, cold, and rain
  • Applicant must work well in a team environment
  • Travel and weekend work may be required
  • Position requires extensive travel and living at or near job sites
