Job description

Position Summary:

A Tint Specialist provides customer service in the form of color-matching stains/paints/glazes. The Tint Specialist will also be responsible for making sure the Lacquer orders get pulled and put on the trucks properly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mixing and Matching of Stains and Pigmented Lacquers
  • Perform required quality control checks for all outgoing tinted items
  • Maintain in-depth and detailed records of colors developed as outlined in the Tint Station Operations Manual
  • Stocking Items
  • Supporting Lacquer Specialist and Sales Team
  • Pull, Catalyze, Shake, and stage truck orders for Finish
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Keep an accurate log of any pour-offs of bad material and deposit into the waste drum and keep it labeled appropriately
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Knowledge or Experience in working with Lacquer/Colors/Stain development
  • Ability to see color (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow)
  • Knowledge of wood products such as species, plywood, lumber
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
