PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Within the Owens Corning Global Information Services (GIS) organization is a team of dedicated resources to build a digital center of excellence. The Stibo Platform Architect will work closely with our digital center of excellence, integration architects, enterprise architects, IT product owners, business digital product managers and partners to develop a deep understanding of our business strategies and our user journeys
Leveraging this understanding, the Platform Owner - Stibo is responsible for establishing a common framework to build and run the product data, asset management, syndication of data, and product visualization tools supporting the company's initiatives across our market facing, digital worker and manufacturing digital portfolios. This role will set the vision and strategy needed to ensure rapid, iterative development and global deployment of industry best features for each of these critical areas. Specifically ensuring we have a comprehensive, nimble, modern, secure, modular, and scalable platform that we can leverage across businesses and global regions. This role will also promote education and drive consensus in setting our platform standards and direction across the GIS organization and with our key partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowing Our Businesses and their Strategies
  • Build relationships within the organization, cross-functionally, and with key business stakeholders; continuously enhance connection to remain aligned with core objectives.
  • Understand the strategic direction of the company's businesses and execute technical strategies to enhance business results; lead conversations while setting direction for the team, processes and managed relationships.
  • Know what best-in-class IT service organizations do and obtain outside-in market insights to understand and then apply to positively impact Owens Corning.

Executing Strategy
Platform Leadership for Product Management, Data Syndication, and Integration Design with Platform Owners of Publication, Content Management Systems, ERPs, MES, and CRMs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the data management application framework and architecture for large-scale, scalable product data management and syndications systems designed to support users and customers internationally, 24x7, determining specifications and working parameters for hardware/software interoperability, accounting for scalability, maintainability, and security within design.
  • Establishes reusable and extensible code bases and platforms that serve business, marketing, and customer strategies
  • Execute, consult, and advise on product implementation strategies, upgrades, and integration processes, with existing products and platforms.
  • Establishing and maintaining alliances with key partners and champions IT product concepts and strategies.
  • Ensuring the development and execution of business plans for OC's chosen platform.
  • Participating in defining product strategies and pricing standards.
  • Participates in the creation of technical approaches/roadmaps for critical use cases that have potential to differentiate Owens Corning in customer engagement and influence
  • Evaluates, participates in the selection of and maintenance of partnerships with key internal and external development teams contributing to delivery of digital portfolios
  • Crafts initial solution options to include work categorization and estimates across major disciplines: User Experience, Analytics, Front End Development, Back End Development, Data Integration, DevOps, Quality Assurance, Security and Architecture
  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT project managers product owners, digital team, and technology architects to plan platform application and infrastructure upgrades. product releases, develop release project plan, direct, and manage release execution resources, coordination of workflow between cross function teams, end user training, release roll out and production support

Architecture and Solution Delivery
  • Leads digital architecture, design, and standards of the platform.
  • Identifies needs, research and prototypes options, communicates impacts or potential challenges for other teams; builds work plans for new solutions or retrofits
  • Via participation in the GIS Architecture Review Board, leads architectural review for platform owned and contributes to other architectural reviews, impact assessments and estimation processes
  • Shares thought processes and evaluation techniques with other architects and technical resources, promotes education in the processes of solutioning

Innovate and Think Strategically
  • Partner with Global Information Services (GIS), business, and commercial leadership to formulate and maintain a technical product platform roadmap of current and future features and functionalities.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, and use this information to influence platform development
  • Proactively engage with platform technology vendors to understand their product roadmap and future upgrade and release plans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with MDM, PIM, DAM, Syndication, Stibo,
  • Preferred knowledge in Salsify & InDesign
  • 5+ years' experience in information technology focused projects including websites, portals, apps, mobile, data integration, analytics
  • 5+ years working directly with business teams (commercial, business) in a role understanding and translating business needs into technical implementation

EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding workflows and business processes, identifying issues and providing solutions that leverage PIM/MDM/DAM/Syndication relevant technologies
  • Data management with highly integrated systems, experience designing hierarchy and data precedence rules
  • Data categorization, classification, and hierarchy (inheritance modeling)
  • Working experience in Data Stewardship, Data governance, Product Lifecycle
  • Have functional experience of using STEP for scheduling and monitoring batch processes
  • Understanding of Salsify and syndication software
  • Understanding of agile and waterfall project mgmt. methodologies
  • Proficient in estimating work and project scheduling/sprint planning

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across regions
  • Demonstrated experience leading resolution of service issues in conjunction with and on behalf of internal teams and external providers
  • Experience in supplier relationships, confidence and presence to deal with suppliers both internal and external and, on-shore or off-shore
  • Experience analyzing and presenting data driven performance results to different levels of audiences and providing insight on root causes and improvement options.
  • Experience using and working with an ITSM platform; Service Now strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated prior experience with applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to convey relevant information clearly with confidence; understanding others through active listening
  • Demonstrates the ability to build trust, connections, and influence stakeholders
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and proven ability to execute and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-facilitation skills along with strong visualization skills -being able to educate and explain how product data flows downstream to integrated systems
