About the role:
The Steward is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, production areas, and employee dining facilities. This role supports culinary and banquet operations by ensuring all equipment and service items are available, organized, and maintained according to Four Seasons standards. This position is part of the Stewarding team, reporting to Stewarding Management.
What you will do:
  • Clean and sanitize china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils utilizing commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment

  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards

  • Clean, sweep, mop, scrub, polish, and maintain kitchen production areas, hallways, loading docks, and stewarding spaces

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Employee Cafeteria, including tables, serving areas, and food service equipment

  • Support cafeteria food service by setting up salad bars, hot food stations, and maintaining food presentation

  • Properly label, date, store, and rotate food items according to food safety standards

  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and support workstation setup and breakdown activities

  • Assist with banquet setups and other stewarding-related operational needs

  • Safely utilize and store cleaning compounds, chemicals, and sanitation materials using proper protective equipment

  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns promptly

  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures

  • Support kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth daily operations

What you bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a stewarding, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to safely operate or learn commercial dishwashing and stewarding equipment

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs
