Job description

Independent Fedex Ground Contractor looking for delivery drivers who have experience with trucks/step vans (CDL not required). If you have 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience in the past 3 years of a like size vehicle - a box truck (at least 14ft), straight truck or step van - we offer a full time position. Drivers load and unload packages in a fast-paced team environment and ensure that packages are delivered on time and with care. Work is 5 days a week, 7am till finished. Must pass final road test in order to get approved.
Requirements and Abilities:
-Must be 21 or older to apply
-Must have valid driver's license
-Eligible to work in the US
-Have 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience in the past 3 years of a like size vehicle - a box truck (at least 14ft), straight truck or step van!
-Physically fit (being able to lift at least 70lb)
-Able to pass Medical Exam, Drug Test
-No DWI,
-No suspensions or revocations of license,
-No reckless or aggressive driving (no more that 15mph above speed limit or no driving above 80mph),
-No more than 2 moving violations in 12 months,
-No operating a vehicle while texting, emailing, or cell phone (No cellphone tickets within past 3 years),
-No more than 2 accidents.
-Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
-Ability to comprehend numbers and information in order to sort and deliver packages correctly.
-Ability to scan packages, read labels and charts, and memorizing routes.
-Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, hand-held scanners.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
