Job description

Come join our Stellantis Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance team where we are committed to doing what's best for our customers. Sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive decisions through consensus and influence are a must.
Stellantis is required to certify all vehicles to the environmental standards required in the country of sale. In order to ensure all vehicles are certified to meet the company sale plan, vehicle program plans must be understood and an appropriate certification plan developed, communicated, and executed. The Certification Engineer is responsible for helping to define certification programs and is responsible for execution of certification deliverables. The certification engineer will partner with TSRC members and other department functions, such as engineering to, to drive the required deliverables for environmental certification.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Work with the Stellantis organization to understand and define certification programs and to drive the preparation of certification information and certification properties
  • Ready certification material for assigned test groups
  • Review and approve product changes
  • Manage certification program management system updates
  • Escalate deliverables not supporting plan of record timing

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of environmental certification or homologation experience with a broad understanding of vehicle systems or experience in emission testing
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills; ability to drive results
  • Experience reading corporate product bulletins
  • Self-starter who is detail oriented and disciplined

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Emission testing experience
  • Experience in global environmental regulations
  • Working knowledge of global regulatory emissions compliance, testing and certification processes/procedures
  • Master's degree in a Science, Computer, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
