Description

Who We Are

Join White Lodging — a hospitality company developing and operating award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants in top U.S. cities. We know that the hospitality business, like life, is about how you make people feel. With a growing portfolio of premium brands across the country's best markets, White Lodging offers a dynamic environment where talent thrives and careers are built.

We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join the team at Stella Van Buren Milwaukee — downtown Milwaukee's iconic Italian-meets-American fine dining destination, located within the Westin Milwaukee. Astonishing adventure awaits at The Westin Milwaukee, offering a prime downtown location near the Milwaukee Art Museum, Lake Michigan, Marquette University, the Pabst Mansion, U.S. Bank Center, and the Third Ward. Distinctive, delicious, and truly something daring, Stella Van Buren is a modern fine dining restaurant known for its magnetic and romantic ambiance, chef-crafted creativity, and imaginative culinary and aesthetic approach. In this upscale bartender role, you will craft cocktails, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and thrive in a high-energy, fine dining bar environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced bartender with a passion for hospitality, expert mixology knowledge, and the ability to create memorable guest connections in a premium restaurant setting. Enjoy advanced scheduling and the flexibility to swap or pick up shifts easily using our app — perfect for achieving better balance while pursuing your passion in the food and beverage industry.

$6.55/hour base pay + tips. Our bartenders currently average $30-35/hour total including tips.

  • Maintain a clean, organized bar station; complete daily bar cleaning and side work to health and safety standards
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the full cocktail menu, beer and wine selections, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — confidently answering guest questions
  • Ensure consistent food and beverage quality and presentation that meets guest expectations every time
  • Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end-of-shift reconciliation
  • Promote teamwork and contribute to a safe, positive work environment
  • Card all guests and monitor responsible alcohol service to prevent overservice and ensure liquor law compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • An outgoing, social personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Sharp attention to detail — from cocktail presentation to guest satisfaction
  • A positive, can-do attitude and team-player mindset
  • Previous bartending experience required — hotel, restaurant, or rooftop bar backgrounds a plus
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays — weekend availability required

  • Advanced scheduling with easy shift swapping via our app
  • Unlimited employee referral bonuses
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) with rollover
  • Complimentary wellness tools
  • Leadership development & tuition reimbursement
  • Discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and travel
  • Growth opportunities across multiple hotel properties in your market
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Full-time associates also receive:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance — starting day 1
    • Life and disability insurance
    • Paid parental leave
