Job Summary:

The Structural Steel Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting structural steel components and assemblies according to project specifications and quality standards. This role involves surface preparation, application of coatings, and inspection of finished products to ensure durability, aesthetics, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Structural Steel Painter plays a critical role in enhancing the longevity and appearance of steel structures used in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Surface Preparation:
    • Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate treatments to ensure adhesion of primers and coatings.
    • Remove rust, scale, and contaminants using abrasive tools, power washers, or chemical treatments as necessary.
  2. Paint Application:
    • Apply primers, paints, and coatings to structural steel components using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring even coverage and thickness.
    • Follow paint manufacturer instructions, mixing ratios, and application techniques to achieve desired finish and protection.
  3. Quality Control and Inspection:
