About the Company

The Kinetic Group is a world leader in design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI, Remington and Speer. With domestic facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, we serve law enforcement, government agencies, and sporting enthusiasts worldwide. As part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), we invest in and expand our steel case manufacturing capability.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen our steel component processing. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Engineering and is based in Anoka, Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and optimization of steel processing operations, including forming and heat treatment.
  • Provide technical expertise in annealing and tempering, heat treatment cycles and atmosphere control, and steel drawing and forming processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend furnaces, forming equipment, and production systems.
  • Partner with external consultants and vendors to assess and implement best practices.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to material behavior, defects, and process variation.
  • Improve process consistency in high‑volume production environments.
  • Support development of internal standards for steel processing and quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in high‑volume steel manufacturing or processing.
  • Hands‑on experience with heat treatment (furnaces, cycles, atmosphere control) and annealing/tempering.
  • Experience with steel forming or drawing processes.
  • Strong understanding of steel material behavior in production environments.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in cold heading, wire forming, or fastener manufacturing.
  • Background in the Ammunition or Hunt/Shoot Industry.
  • Equipment selection or commissioning experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting material or metallurgical defects.
  • Familiarity with continuous or high‑throughput processing systems.
Work Environment

Employee work assignments may include tasks involving potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Benefits and Compensation

Pay Range: $77,300.00 - $108,100.00. Salary is based on experience, location, education, and skills.
