Job description

Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator for the night shift. This role involves operating machinery in a steel manufacturing environment, where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Stack, load, and unload material efficiently.
  • Monitor recording charts and make necessary cycle flow changes.
  • Operate various forklifts and ensure the safe transport of materials.
  • Tag and retag materials as required to maintain accurate records.
  • Provide samples for metallurgical evaluation as needed.
  • Maintain proper material identification by size, grade, and heat.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of machine operating experience, particularly with steel machines.
  • Ability to set up and run machines with proficiency.
  • Experience in operating sit-down forklifts and managing material logistics in a yard or warehouse.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools, such as mics and calibers.
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with bander machines is a plus.
