1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (as needed)


About the Opportunity


A growing forging manufacturer is seeking Open Die Press Operators / Press Helpers to join its production team in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy equipment, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment.


Previous forging experience is not required. Candidates with backgrounds in farming, heavy equipment operation, construction equipment, industrial manufacturing, material handling, or other physically demanding environments are encouraged to apply.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys overtime, can work safely in a hot manufacturing environment, and wants to build a long-term career in heavy industry.


What You'll Do


● Assist the press crew in producing open die forgings and seamless rolled rings

● Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move product throughout production

● Support forging operations by preparing, positioning, and moving materials

● Follow production schedules and work instructions

● Maintain a safe and organized work area

● Work closely with team members to meet production goals

● Perform additional duties as assigned


What You Bring


● Experience operating heavy equipment, farm equipment, forklifts, construction equipment, or industrial machinery preferred

● Manufacturing, production, foundry, steel, forging, or industrial experience is a plus

● Ability to work safely in a hot industrial environment

● Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime

● Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team

● Reliable attendance and dependability

● Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

● High school diploma or equivalent preferred
