Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts per blueprints and work instructions
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine correct tooling and setup
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings for optimal performance
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain product accuracy
  • Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3+ years of experience operating brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience with CNC brake press machines (preferred)
  • Basic math skills, including measuring and calculating angles and dimensions
