These skills and qualifications are crucial for delivering projects efficiently, maintaining workplace safety, and leading crews effectively in demanding construction environments.

The Foreman will oversee teams that include machine operators, welders, fitters, and material handlers while ensuring work is organized, staged properly, and completed safely and efficiently. This role is less about being the most technically advanced operator on the floor and more about leading people, keeping production moving, solving problems, and delivering results.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinating workflow between departments and processes
  • Monitoring production goals, deadlines, and shop performance
  • Supporting equipment and operational troubleshooting as needed

  • Coaching employees and helping develop newer team members
  • Maintaining communication with shop leadership throughout the shift

Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
  • 3+ years in structural steel fabrication
  • Prior experience in a beam, column, or heavy structural steel environment preferred
  • Previous experience leading or coordinating crews on a production floor
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and production instructions
  • A hands-on leadership style with a team-first mentality

Why JGM?
  • Consistent overtime opportunities
  • Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holiday pay
  • Paid training and advancement opportunities
  • Stable, year-round work
  • Opportunity to grow into higher-level leadership roles
  • Team-oriented culture with strong shop leadership
  • Daily snack and drink card

At JGM, we invest in people who want long-term growth and opportunity within a company that continues to expand.
