Work EnvironmentFactories, construction sites, workshopsConstruction sites, manufacturing plants, repair shops
Industry UsageStructural, industrial, commercial steel projectsMetal repairs, fabrication, construction

While both roles involve working with metal, Steel Fabrication focuses on creating steel structures and components through cutting, shaping, and assembling. Metal Welding specializes in joining metal parts via welding techniques. Both require similar certifications and often work in overlapping environments, but their core tasks differ significantly.
