Job description

A busy mechanical contractor located in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a Steel Detailer to join their team.  This person will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models, detailed plans, and fabrication deliverables for structural steel, support steel (columns, beams, braces, trusses, stairs, handrails, joists, metal decking, etc.), and related components using Advance Steel software. Job responsibilities: Develop detailed 3D models of structural and support steel utilizing Advance Steel; Produce shop drawings, erection plans, foundation plans, and material lists for fabrication; Coordinate models with piping, building structure, and other trades; Identify clashes and participate in BIM coordination meetings; Ensure drawings comply with company standards, AISC requirements, and project guidelines; Optimize existing designs to aid equipment layout and module transportation

 Job requirements: 3-5+ years of steel detailing experience; AutoCAD and Advance Steel experience; Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings; Understanding of structural steel components; Must pass a drug test.
