Project Manager โ€“ Structural Steel

Republic, MO | Full-Time | On-Site

About the Role

DeVille Steel is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of structural steel projects from first contact to final delivery. You'll be the connective tissue between our shop, our clients, and the field โ€” keeping projects moving, stakeholders informed, and details from falling through the cracks. This is a hands-on role that blends technical knowledge with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects end to end โ€” from initial information gathering and scoping through fabrication, delivery, and closeout.
  • Represent DeVille Steel at meetings with general contractors and clients, keeping our interests front and center.
  • Assign tasks to detailers and steel erectors, procure materials, and issue cut sheets to the fabrication team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication between DeVille Steel, subcontractors, and the general contractor.
  • Handle project administration including processing invoices, submitting shop drawings for approval, and obtaining lien waivers.
  • Provide warranty letters and ensure all closeout documentation is complete upon substantial project completion.
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts before they become problems.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings, as well as project specifications โ€” this is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; you'll be managing complex relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in structural steel, fabrication, or commercial construction is a strong plus.

Location

This is an in-office role based in Springfield, MO. We're prioritizing local candidates but are open to the right person from outside the area.
