Mechanical Utilities Engineer - Mid-Level
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Schedule: Full time - Year round
Travel: Roughly 30%
Currently seeking individuals for Mechanical Utilities Engineering. Successful
candidates will aid in the design and implementation of utility equipment systems as part of a broad
engineering and architectural team. Working for a national engineering firm which offers complete planning, process engineering, facility development, and construction management services.
Knowledge should include:
  • Steam/ condensate, compressed air, chilled water generation, water filtration systems
  • Industrial refrigeration systems including ammonia, Freon, and CO 2
  • Process utility systems including RO water, nitrogen, and CO 2
  • Utility and distribution piping
  • Generation of equipment and piping specifications, utility PFD's & P&ID's
  • Installation supervision and system start up assistance

Responsibilities:
  • Direct interaction with clients and end users
  • Preliminary engineering studies, including cost estimating, project scheduling, and report writing
  • Detailed engineering and systems design
  • Equipment and subcontractor procurement duties
  • Installation supervision and utility system start-up assistance

Requirements:
  • Required 3+ years of experience
  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related 4-year degree
  • Successful candidates will be professional, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • AutoCAD ability preferred
  • FE/EIT certificate preferred
  • Travel to customer project sites for review, audit, and meetings, estimated 15 - 25%
