Job description

FT Nanny Darien CT J-20395

Full-time live-out nanny needed for a professional family in Darien CT with 3 children, ages 5 years, 4 years, and 21 months old.

Location: Darien, CT

Compensation: $30-$35 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 6PM

Start Date: As soon as they find the right fit

Benefits:

  • Weekly guaranteed hours

  • Paid holidays

  • Paid vacation- 2 weeks

  • Sick days- 5 days

  • Yearly review and a possibility of annual raise (merit based)

  • Car provided for on-the-job use

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside a stay-at-home mother to provide childcare for all three children in the home

  • Supervise the children as they swim (strong swimmer is required)

  • Driving the children to and from school and activities (family will provide a car for use)

  • Preparing healthy meals/snacks for the children

  • Laundry for the family (children and parents)

  • Overnight care for the children on occasion (with advanced notice)

  • Travel with the family on vacations (with advanced notice)

  • Planning age-appropriate activities, outings, and engaging play

  • Supporting routines, structure, and developmental milestones

  • Maintaining organization of child-related spaces

  • Supporting a smooth, well-run daily household rhythm

Must-haves:

  • Comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home mom who is actively involved with the children, and a work-from-home dad (4–5 times per month).

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience with toddlers and multiple-child households

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Confident swimmer

  • CPR/First Aid certified

  • Travel flexibility preferred

  • Overnight flexibility preferred

  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
