Major Responsibilities
  • Develops, maintains, and updates accurate statistical demand forecasts within the demand planning system, incorporating business assumptions and market intelligence to support operational and financial planning across products, markets, and regions

  • Analyzes historical sales trends, customer demand patterns, seasonality, promotional activity, and other business drivers to support forecast development and maintenance

  • Support the monthly SIOP/IBP demand planning process through forecast analysis, reporting, and participation in cross-functional demand review discussions

  • Performs forecast variance analysis and root cause analysis to identify drivers of forecast error and recommend corrective actions

  • Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and Operations teams to gather inputs and improve forecast assumptions and accuracy

  • Prepares and distributes recurring demand planning reports, dashboards, and forecast summaries for business review

  • Simplifies and communicates forecast trends, risks, and insights in a clear and concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting processes, reporting, data quality, and system utilization

  • Maintains data integrity and supports master data management activities associated with demand planning systems and processes

  • Utilizes quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to support decision-making and identify demand trends and risks

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or other related quantitative disciplines, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

  • 3 years of experience in demand planning, market analysis, forecasting or related field

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and understands how to tweak with and analyze baseline forecasts within a system

  • APICS CPIM/CSCP certification a plus

  • Ability to think, analyze, and report on diverse business segments

  • Ability to proficiently use without direct authority and works effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word required

  • Able to influence others

  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionallylift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus
