Argo and Farm Family partner with agents and brokers to provide insurance solutions that enable businesses to manage risks with confidence.

Job Description

The Regulatory Reporting Analyst supports the preparation and submission of Property & Casualty statistical and regulatory reports. This role assists in ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements by working with data, validating reporting outputs, and supporting process execution.

The Analyst will develop technical and analytical skills to contribute to data-driven reporting, improve data quality, and support ongoing enhancements to regulatory reporting processes.

In order to qualify for this position, you must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reporting and statistical reports (e.g., Workers' Compensation, Proof of Coverage, unit statistical data, financial data calls).
  • Support understanding of regulatory requirements across jurisdictions and apply them to reporting activities.
  • Perform quality checks to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of submissions.
  • Help monitor reporting outputs and flag errors or inconsistencies for resolution.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data to support regulatory reporting needs.
  • Utilize SQL (or similar tools) to assist in querying and validating data.
  • Support data reconciliation and validation efforts, escalating discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Assist in identifying trends or anomalies in data sets.
  • Follow established regulatory reporting processes and procedures.
  • Support efforts to streamline recurring tasks through basic automation or improved workflows.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and data quality.
  • Partner with internal teams (e.g., IT, Claims, U/W, Finance & Accounting) to gather required data and clarify reporting needs.
  • Work with team members and external partners (e.g., bureaus, vendors) to support reporting activities.
  • Communicate status updates, questions, and issues in a timely and clear manner.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting activities to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Assist in identifying data limitations or issues and documenting findings.
  • Support adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in regulatory reporting, data analysis, insurance operations, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or similar data querying tools (ability to write and interpret basic queries).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exposure to data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric) or programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Property & Casualty insurance concepts.
  • Exposure to ISO, NCCI, NISS, or other regulatory/bureau reporting is helpful, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with developing problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with willingness to learn and develop.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a willingness to build technical and industry knowledge.
  • Seeks guidance appropriately while building independence over time.
  • Contributes to a team environment focused on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
