As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to identify psychological, emotional, and social needs of clients and developing personalized treatment plans based on these assessments.
• Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), in alignment with patients’ individual goals, preferences, and treatment needs.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and quality care.
• Collaborating regularly with fellow team members to provide interdisciplinary care that addresses both the mental and physical needs of patients.
• Participating in peer review and case consultation meetings to assess program effectiveness and improve clinical practice continually.
• Providing educational resources and support to patients and their families about treatment options, mental health issues, and available community resources.
• Staying informed about current developments in the field of mental health and integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

This role focuses on serving a diverse patient population facing complex mental health issues, often intertwined with their medical conditions due to the hospice setting. You will engage with individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and other emotional challenges associated with chronic illness and end-of-life issues. Your ability to approach these sensitive topics with empathy and clinical expertise will be crucial in fostering trust and therapeutic rapport with patients and their families.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Florida.
• At least three years of professional experience in a clinical setting, specifically offering psychotherapy services.
• Strong foundation in solution-based psychotherapy techniques and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for conveying sensitive information clearly and compassionately.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independent clinical judgment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills necessary for effective patient assessment and intervention.

• Experience working with patients in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of local community resources and support services available to patients and families.
